BATA Short Film Festival Rules

• Entry Fee: There is a 75$ entry fee
• 1st Prize winner: 750$ (Will be screened at BATA 50 years celebration)
• 2nd Prize winner: 500$

• Entries for the BATA International Telugu Short Film Festival are open for everyone across the globe. Submissions from all the countries are accepted
• Short film must be in Telugu language and English subtitles are optional
• DURATION - The total runtime of the Short Film should be a maximum of 6 minutes including opening & closing credits
• 72 hour window will start at 9PM (PST-Pacific standard Time) on October 13th 2022 and ends on October 16th 2022 at 9PM (PST- Pacific standard Time)
• Note: California, USA is based on Pacific standard time (PST)
• Genre and a property will be picked up by lottery and assigned to each participating group just before the start of 72-hour window. And participants will receive an email regarding the same
• Short films must be uploaded through Google Drive and sent to batafilmfest@gmail.com and must be made available for download to the festival organizers. YouTube links are not accepted. Uploaded short film file name should contain registered participant name along with genre and property
• Multiple entries from the same participant are accepted, but entry fee for each film must be paid separately -FORMAT: The film can be shot in AVI or MPEG4 format. The recommended ratio is 16:9.
• RIGHT TO SCREEN: The sender of the submitted film is responsible for all copyrights. The participants grant the Organizers (www.bata.org) the non-exclusive rights to screen their film on the organizer’s websites and at the BATA 50 years event in Santa Clara, California.
• BATA reserves the rights to copy or use the material submitted by the participants in any form, online or offline, for the festival’s promotional purposes. Note that your entire short film will never be shared with anyone or uploaded online without your consent
• The participants agree that the organizers shall not be held responsible for any unauthorized use of the content by any third party

• Animated or Documentary Films are not accepted
• Once submitted, the entries cannot be withdrawn
• Screening of the winners’ films shall be at the discretion of the organizers
• The decision of the jury will be final and binding
• To avail the cash prizes, the winners must provide a valid identity card
• Entry and participation of films implies unconditional acceptance of these terms and regulation
