BATA rocks at Atlanta City

 

Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA) team enthralled the Atlanta audience with yet another trademark & scintillating performance on May 30th, 2010. Invited by TAMA, Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta, BATA team performed in Super Singer concert along with Dr G.Anand, Pranavi, Deepu, Anjana Sowmya, Bhuvana Kruthi & Ravi. While the super singers entertained the audience with their numbers, BATA team provided the much needed entertainment & excitement with their foot tapping dances, comedy & skits.

 

BATA’s performance started with 25 minute comedy segment by Kalyan Kattamuri. The jokes & the improvisation led the audience in splits. The “Cine Mayajalam” skit was received with thunderous applause. This skit was directed by Kalyan and was performed by Aditya, Pavitra & Kalyan. This was followed by a 25 minute dance segment a little later. The songs depicted all forms of music starting from jazz, folk, fusion etc. The music coupled with vibrant costumes, synchronous dances & amazing choreography impressed the audience so much so that there were shouts of “Once More”. BATA team also danced live to the numbers “Bangaru Kodi Petta” & “Bommali”. The dances were choregraphed by Vijaya Aasuri & Srilu Veligeti.

 

The final 15 minute segment was a comedy segment performed by Kalyan Kattamuri. The cops joke, bhajans segment & finally the Ringa Ringa song from “America Lo Telugodu  were a hit and audience danced along with the BATA team.  Overall – BATA team thoroughly entrained the Atlanta audience beyond their expectations as evident from the feedback right after the show. Madhu Tata (President – TAMA) & Mahesh Pawar (Cultural Secretary – TAMA) thanked BATA for such an energetic show and hoped for much more shows together. Vijaya Aasuri, Srilu Veligeti & Kalyan Kattamuri thanked TAMA for giving us yet another opportunity to entertain Atlanta and promised to give many such performances in the future. BATA team comprised of Vijaya Aasuri, Srilu Veligeti, Kalyan Kattamuri, Neeharika Andavarapu, Pavitra Khanapurkar, Sheera and Aditya Kota. The show was organized at the Rialto Center for the arts, Georgia State University, Atlanta.
